The Animated Series' Showrunner Has Seen Your Second Season Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates

The much-anticipated second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video soon, and audience theories has been intense.

The first season presents a large cast of characters living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds accompanied by musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the binding agreement affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands as the main goal," the creator commented recently. "However I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how fast the new season moves, and how much of what they're waiting for unfolds now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about season 2 — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans create a bingo card about the new season," she mentions. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
